We help seminarians and priests from all over the world, especially those studying at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome.
They come mainly from dioceses in Africa, Asia and Latin America, but also from Central and Eastern European countries. We focus in particular on supporting seminarians who live in the international seminary Sedes Sapientiae, located in Rome’s Trastevere district and affiliated with the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross.
Licentiate and doctoral programmes
We fund the licentiate and doctoral studies of priests at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross. The university was founded in 1984 at the request of Pope John Paul II and entrusted to the Prelature of Opus Dei.
The aim is to enable them to recognise and deepen the richness of the Catholic faith and so to enter into a fruitful dialogue with the modern world.
