Who We Help

We help seminarians and priests from all over the world, especially those studying at the Pontifical University of Santa Croce in Rome.

How You Can Help

Through your prayers, you strengthen the faithfulness of young men. With your donations, you help finance the education of priests.

Who We Are

In 1991, the Association for Priestly Formation Support e.V. was founded in Cologne. Cardinal Joachim Meisner was the first patron.

Why We Help

“Good priestly formation is the be-all and end-all of the future of faith and the church,” says Archbishop Dr. Georg Gänswein. And with that, he explains our motivation to support priestly formation, especially at the Pontifical University of Santa Croce in Rome.

The University of Santa Croce not only teaches students what the church teaches but also why the church teaches it that way. It is not committed to any theological school but promotes academic freedom. At the same time, the studies deepen the understanding of societal developments in our world to better shape them in the spirit of the Gospel.

How You Can Help

With your donations, you help us support good priestly formation at the Pontifical University of Santa Croce. With your money, we fund scholarships for many seminarians and priests who otherwise would not have the opportunity to study in Rome.

We assure you that we keep our administrative costs as low as possible. Many work voluntarily with great commitment and professionalism in the Association for Priestly Formation Support.

Whether you donate large or small amounts, as a one-time contribution or via standing order: Every donation helps and makes an impact. You can also deduct your donations from your taxes. We will gladly send you a donation receipt.

On behalf of the seminarians and priests, we say “God bless you!”
